It is almost Mother’s Day! Whether you’re celebrating a very special lady in your life or celebrating yourself (I’m sending you an e-high five if you are), I wanted to provide a little inspiration in the form of a list of some of my favorite things to gift to the women in my life. (As you may have guessed by now, I have shamelessly purchased many of them for myself, too.)
Me six months ago shot by Georgia Nerheim
The Mist: Chantecaille Rose de Mai Rosewater
To me, rosewater mist is the ultimate beauty secret. I have at least four floating around my house at all times. I love it before skincare, after makeup, around lunchtime as a midday refresher, and before bed. The Chantecaille Rose de Mai is my favorite—the bottle is gorgeous and looks good anywhere (and everywhere in my case). Furthermore, it smells incredible! It has such a lovely and uniquely delicate scent I’m convinced comes from the very special only-blooms-in-May rose. Get it now as it goes fast—Chantecaille only gathers this May rose in May. Once it’s gone you’ll have to wait another year!
The Hand Cream: Retrouve Dermal Defense Hand Cream
Having a good hand cream is a real woman move, and this one is the most luxurious. It’s nutrient dense to give you the softest hands and cuticles ever, and it isn’t greasy! Additionally, the packaging is triple air sealed for the ultimate in purity.
The Multipurpose Balm: Henné Organics Luxury Lip Balm
I love this pot. I know it’s a lip balm technically, but it really is a multipurpose balm. I use on my lips, cuticles, and dry spots for me and my baby. I also have several of these moisturizing pots around the house—I really don’t think you can have too many.
The Night Ritual: ByNacht Perfect Nacht Sleeping Balm
This balm is one of those products that you don’t know you need until you try it. It’s a delicately scented balm designed to relax the nervous system and help you drift off to sleep. Simply apply to pulse points and chill. Pro tip: you can use this on children six months and older. Everyone sleeps better when the little people sleep!
The Super Luxe Cream: BioEffect EGF Power Cream
This super-rich cream is supremely luxurious. It’s fragrance free so it’s suitable for the most sensitive skin and is so very deeply moisturizing. Once you try it , you’ll never look back.
The Face Oil: French Farmacie Sérum Radiant
This serum oil combo is a medicine cabinet staple especially if the woman in your life is a low-maintenance cool girl. It’s great under and over makeup both day and night. Basically, it’s all she’ll need to achieve an enviable glow.
The Body Treatment: Orlane SOS Minceur
This body cream feels so light and fresh. It’s formulated with algae and essential oils to aid the detox process for your tightest, lightest legs, or anywhere else you choose to apply it.
The Eye Mask: Dr. Harris Anti-Wrinkle Sleep Mask
This mulberry silk (aka the best silk) sleep mask has silicone dots on acupressure points of the face to help your body relax (really). Yes, it works. I love the black for extra light-blocking power. Find your zen in even the most unfamiliar zones.
The Tool: Carbonnique Face Roller
If you have just one tool, let it be this one. Expertly designed with a solid walnut handle and removable (for easy cleaning) ceramic massaging balls, this facial massaging tool is something you’ll be sure to integrate into your skincare routine. Do it while binging your latest TV obsession to feel a bit more productive!
The Bath: Lilfox Azure Tranquil Blue Aura Soak
I love both of the Lilfox Bath Soaks; however, Azure has been speaking my language lately. It’s full of relaxing magnesium and nourishing marine algae just to name a few of its power ingredients. You will be addicted, I promise you.
The lipstick: Chanel Rouge Allure
There is no lipstick like Chanel lipstick. The colors are thrilling. The texture is sumptuous. The packaging is the chicest ever. I never get tired of clicking open the ever-glamorous tube. Chanel lips forever.

Kate Demianova (@kate_demianova), Model
Kate is a fashion model from Ukraine who I’ve had the good fortune of knowing for about four years. In addition to being a superbabe, she’s also incredibly hardworking and sweet. She’s the ultimate “not trying too hard” cool girl. Plus, she magically hears about all the great things first. If Kate wants anything, I want it.

Q: What’s in your handbag
Ok here we go… keys, earphones, wallet, lipstick, a mirror, Chanel powder blush, and travel-size perfume (always :)).
Q: What beauty items can you not live without?
Laneige Lip Glowy Balm—I have to say I am addicted to it
Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin—moisturizer which helps me with my dry skin during winter
Alastin Sunscreen—highly recommend to everyone; it has the prettiest coverage and does not break my skin out like some others
Q: What was the most expensive beauty item you’ve ever bought? Was it worth it?
Once I decided to switch to the Biologique Recherche line, from face wash to all the serums, etc. (so the bill was quite an expensive one)—imagine my disappointment when I found out that I am allergic to all the cosmetics from that brand… haha. So I would say it was not worth it :) but my mother was so happy to get it by inheritance!
Q: What are your drugstore favorites
Favorite drug store items are Bioderma makeup remover and CeraVe cleanser and night moisturizer.
Q: Who / what is your beauty inspiration?
As I was growing up, the most beautiful woman for me was Angelina Jolie (and don’t get me wrong, she is still is), but now I look at beauty from different perspective: I think beauty comes not just as a beautiful face, but as a combination of beauty and personality, and that’s what is inspiring to me.
